❤️🔥 DOUBLE CAZIMI WITH VENUS AND MARS ❤️🔥 Creativity, heat, and renewal in deep winter.
Hello my friends, and welcome to your Weekly Thread. The astrology of the coming week brings a ton of heat, despite our wintery climate. The Sun, Venus, and Mars have all been traveling together as a little triad of energy, and now they will finally conjoin, bumping into one another in the heavens, ending and renewing cycles of creativity, passion, and bravery, together. Let’s dive into the forecast together.
The Astrology of January 5th - 11th
1/6 - Venus cazimi 16° Capricorn 11:36am
1/7 - Venus conjunct Mars 18° Capricorn 9:43pm
1/9 - Mars cazimi 19° Cap 6:41am + Venus opposite Jupiter 20° 12:35pm
1/10 - Sun/Mars opposite Jupiter 9:25am
The Sacred Fibers
I just can’t stress enough how intense and exciting this double cazimi of Venus and Mars will be this week. The part of your chart located at 16° - 19° Capricorn will be undergoing powerful renewal. What’s interesting to me too, is that Venus and Mars, as well as the Sun and Mercury, are all forming a supportive trine with Uranus, planet of shock and change. This ramps the volume of the sky up quite a bit, bringing a wildcard quality to the fore, as Uranus always encourages us to reach for the radical, the weird, and the ultra-new.
The Thread
What’s a Cazimi?
The astrological term cazimi comes from an Arabic word that means “in the heart of” something. When we witness an astrological cazimi, it means that a planet is moving into the heart of the Sun, who burns that planets energy field up, and renews it with its heat and brilliance. Cazimis are purifying, and when a planet moves into the heart of the Sun, it signals a moment of clairvoyance, heightened magic, and renewed awareness, around the themes of the planet.
While cazimis aren’t the most rare astrological alignment (for example, we have them continually throughout the year between Mercury and Sun as part of Mercury’s synodic cycle), what is notable this week is that we have TWO cazimis, one between Sun/Venus, and one between Sun/Mars, with Venus and Mars meeting for their own conjunction between the cazimis. Phew!!
On the 6th, Venus will meet the heart of the Sun at 16° Capricorn, signalling a moment of renewal for all things related to love, values, money, creativity, and our values. Letting old ways of seeing Venusian topics fall by the wayside serves us best at this time. Take a good look at your Capricorn-ruled house, as this is the place where this Venusian renewal takes place.
The following day, the 7th, Venus and Mars will meet in a conjunction, symbolizing an ending and renewed start to their particular cycle together, activating 18° Capricorn in our charts. Venus and Mars, mythically, cause trouble together. When the goddess of love and god of war get together, sparks fly in a considerable way. If you’d like to learn more about their mythic entanglements, you can check out this mini-pod I recorded last year about a previous Venus-Mars conjunction:
Not to be left out of the mix, Mars catches up with the Sun on the 9th for his own cazimi moment with the Sun at 19° Capricorn, bringing us the rebirth of our Martian consciousness, and a renewed sense of bravery. Mars in Capricorn is Mars in his sign of exaltation. He’s uplifted here, empowered, resourced, and most importantly, strategic. Use this energy to reframe your own battlefield plans, and let the Sun illuminate them into existence.
Oppositional Moments
While all of these conjunctions are occurring, there’s a whole other side of the cosmos glaring across the sky, challenging the coziness of these renewal moments. On the 9th, Venus will oppose Jupiter, and on the 10th, the Sun/Mars alignment will also oppose Jupiter! This lends a maximalist feel to an already energized week of transits, as Jupiter in opposition will magnify anything that falls across his gaze. These moments of rebirth and renewal may feel louder than in previous years, as a result.

Capricorn is in my 6th House and on the 7th I had a major disagreement with my boss which has resulted in me applying for a new job elsewhere. Im probably giving my two week notice this Friday. This past week's astrology and how it has presented itself in my life has been wild.
Happy New Year, Cristina! If this first week is any indication, it’s going to be an astounding year. Sending so much love and blessings to you and your family from here in Mexico City.
