Sigil Shoaling with Jupiter
a simple chaos-magic ritual for the Jupiter cazimi
Today, at 11:45am PST, the Jupiter cazimi perfected. The Sun and Jupiter met at 28° Taurus, bringing a flash of brilliant heat to Jupiter, burning away an almost-year’s worth of lessons from the planet’s transit through Taurus.
Cazimi is an astro term, derived from an Arabic word, which means “in the heart of.” Any time a planet conjoins the Sun, it travels through the heart-space of our bright star, and undergo a dazzling rebirth. This cazimi happens as Jupiter is in the final degrees of Taurus—he’ll enter Gemini this week, on May 25th. He entered Taurus last year, on May 16th, and so this upcoming week is the ideal time to reflect on what’s changed for you, in your Taurus-ruled house topics, since last spring.
A Jupiter cazimi is a great time to do a little magic, and my favorite Jupiterian kind of spell-work is sigil shoaling. This article will teach you the step by step process of creating a sigil shoal, which you can think of as a kind of handful of wishes or manifestations thrown out into the void, tethered to Jupiter’s expansive energy.
