New Class: Techniques for Intermediate Astrologers!
Four weeks and four techniques to expand your astrological toolkit
Expand Your Astro-Toolkit This Spring!!!
Introducing a new class designed to elevate and expand your astrological skillset...
Have you spent time poring over chart after chart, learning how to interpret the placements of the natal, and feel confident in your interpretive powers?
Are you looking for ways to enhance your astrological interpretations, expanding the realm of astrological insight you offer to clients (or yourself!?)?
Have you heard of techniques like the progressed chart, the solar return, synastry readings, and astrocartography, and have no idea where to start when learning them?
If this sounds familiar to you, your astrological perspectives will be expanded and enriched by Techniques for Intermediate Astrologers, which offers four introductions to astrological techniques that are foundational to any intermediate practice. Get beyond simple natal and transit reads, and open doors to a new world of astrological perspective this spring!
Our Four Lectures: June 18, 25, July 2, 9 @ 4:30pm EST - recorded for replay
Cost: $133 through June 13, $189 thereafter. Payment plans available
June 18: Secondary Progressions
The progressed chart is an astrological technique that uses the “year for a day” method of forecasting future life phases. By looking at the transits for 90 days after one’s date of birth, this theoretical technique unveils moments of transition, chapters of growth, and stages of personal evolution. In this class we will:
Define the progressed chart and learn how to calculate it
Learn to examine one’s personal evolution via the changing signs of planets and angles over time
Understand what planets stationing retrograde and direct in the progressed chart signify
Examine the progressed lunar phase of the chart, tuning in with “what time it is” in one’s life
June 25: Solar Returns + Annual Profections
Each year, around your birthday, the Sun returns to the same degree it occupied at the time of your birth. When this happens we “stop the clock,” and calculate the chart of that solar return. This chart can be used to forecast a person’s coming year. When used in combination with the Annual Profection technique, this forecasting tool can illuminate someone’s coming year with illustrative detail.
In class two we will:
Learn what the solar return chart is and how it’s calculated
Discuss rooting the chart in our birth place vs. present location
Define the top five components to look for in a solar return chart
Learn how to compare the solar return with the natal chart for added depth
Introduce the Annual Profection technique, and learn how to layer in observations of our Annual Timelord with the solar return chart, for deeper year-ahead forecasting
July 2: Synastry: Reading Relationship Charts
Synastry is the art of either holding two people’s charts together and examining them for their relationship’s potential, or combining these two charts to create a composite chart, which may reflect the energy of the relationship in general. You can imagine that for everyone you meet, your chart interacts with theirs—you’re a living transit for your friends, your partners, your parents and so on. This class will teach us how to detangle these interactions:
Learn how to pull up the bi-wheel and notice what planets aspect each other between two people’s charts
Important notes: Sun, Moon, and angle connections
What to do with squares and oppositions between two charts
Looking for nodal connections
The role of Chiron in synastry
Learning to calculate the composite chart, and how to interpret major planetary placements to get a read on your relationship’s aura
July 9: Astrocartography
While the phrase wherever you go, there you are is very true, what’s also true is that different locations around the globe activate different areas of your chart in specific ways. We all know that feeling of visiting somewhere and feeling so much more inspired, alive, and excited. Conversely, some places totally freak us out and drain us. Astrocartography may hold answers as to why that is, and can help direct us to places that uplift and energize us in this lifetime. In this class we’ll:
Define astrocartography and learn what an astrocartography map is really showing us
Learn about the meanings of the various lines on the astro-map and how to find places that inspire and uplift us
Add in a bonus technique of relocating the chart, to help us see ourselves in different locations around the world
Learn what to do when we’re living on challenging “lines”
