Last Call for Healing the Centaur: Chiron in Myth & Astrology
a class on the wounded-healer & his astrological influence
Hi everyone! I’ve been sharing a bit about my upcoming Chiron intensive, “Healing the Centaur: Chiron in Astrology & Myth” for a few weeks, and today, March 9th, is the last full day to enroll in the class! Doors close tomorrow at 9am PST.
The Greek word pharmakon means, simultaneously, “poison” and “cure.” It evokes a seeming contradiction, but what it really shows us is an innate tension, an ambiguity, and the versatility of the tools of the healer.

Chiron, in myth, is a centaur famed for his ability to heal any wound, save for his own. Injured by a poison-tipped arrow, one of Heracles’s arrows soaked in the poisonous blood of the Hydra, Chiron suffers for much of his life, all the while offering his medicinal expertise to those in need.
His story ends in self-sacrifice, after a lifetime’s worth of suffering, he offers to take Prometheus’s place in the underworld, freeing an important liberatory figure as his last act of generosity and renewal.
Astrological Chiron holds this kaleidoscopic approach to healing, to wounding, and the tension between those two extremes. Your Chiron placement, broken down by sign, house, and aspect, offers a multifaceted story of your own innate wounding—and the cure that lies therein.

What I can share with you on a personal level, is that my chart didn't start making explicit "sense" to me until I began studying and integrating my Chiron placement. This was one of the pieces of my chart that, after discovering its suggested meaning, many little lights started coming on for me, in terms of my purpose, my path, and my past experiences.
It's not a mistake that Chiron's symbol literally looks like a key -- I do believe he is a crucial key to understanding our astrological selves.
What's true about Chiron work, though, is that there are really only a handful of other astrologers who focus specifically on Chiron and his fellow centaur asteroids. They're all brilliant and you'll find their work in my class bibliography.
But this class is unique in that I'll be working with you all in real time to clarify Chiron questions, bring a sense of understanding to complex chart interpretations where Chiron's concerned, as well as simplify approaches to interpretation. You'll feel confident to approach any Chiron placement in future charts with a sense of depth and understanding.
My approach to astrology is mythological, we'll be touring the mythic tale of Chiron and his centaur companions Chariklo, Ochyroe, and Nessus. You'll also come away from this class with solid astrological tools for interpreting Chiron in your chart.
Thanks so much for receiving this note, and for being a part of my cosmos.
Chironically yours,
Cristina
