I Am the Owl-Woman: Becoming the Astrological Vessel
LAST DAY to enroll in The School of Astrological Arcana!
Becoming the Magic Vessel with Astrology
I use this specific painting by Remedios Varo in all of my promotional content for this class, and that is not without reason. This work, titled 'The Creation of the Birds" (1957), shows an owl-woman seated at a desk, wearing a violin over her heart, which seems to be connected to her pen. As she draws, the magnifying lens she holds up captures light from a bright star or planet. As she traces the light, birds leap off the page. She is content and focused, assisted by some kind of enchanted alchemical alembic, who manages her palette for her.
Perhaps it's strange to say, but whenever I see this painting I inform whoever's around me, "That's me!" And while it's a little joke I have with myself, this is honestly what reading astrology feels like to me.
I am the owl-woman holding a lens up to the sky to release birds into the atmosphere.
Reading astrology charts in a way that puts us in relationship with nature (the living sky), allows us to carve out and set free our sacred symbols (for her, sparrows, for you something else), putting us at once in conversation with the divine above, and the earthly realms below. If Varo had a tarot sequence, this would likely be her "magician" card, a figure poised between two worlds, channeling and translating the energy of everything, one arm aloft, the other pointing down to connect with something earthen.
Joining me in The School of Astrological Arcana allows students to put themselves directly in the path of that sacred translation work, to become their own divining rod, to discover the magic of their astrological path.

It’s the Final Countdown
Of all the classes I teach, The School of Astrological Arcana is my most comprehensive, immersive, and, I think, transformative, offering. Because not only will students learn about the best methods to interpret the meaning of their astrology charts, they'll also be introduced to a world of myth and symbol, as my teachings weave us from "the rules of astrology" through "the portals of myth."
Students come away from this class feeling informed about the ground-rules for chart interpretation, as well as inspired by their discoveries about the innate links between their chart and their favorite mythic characters, symbols, and stories.
And we don't stop at simply reading the charts on-screen! This class's last lecture, "Introduction to Astrological Magic," is a gateway into creating powerful rituals based on the unique energy of your natal chart, your desires, and your manifestational goals. We're witchy, smart, and well-rounded :)
Doors to class close tonight at midnight, and I do hope you join us! Our first lecture is tomorrow at 11am EST, and of course is recorded in case you can't join live.
