Dreams are one of the most personal divinatory tools we have at our disposal, and yet they are also the most mysterious. They’re only accessed when we’re in deep sleep, and often evade us when we wake up, unless we actively work to keep their images close.
Tune in to a conversation I had with my friend Alyssa Polizzi, the creator of The Artemisian, here on Substack. We discuss:
What it means to have a dreamwork practice, and the benefits of doing so for our personal work
What the value of approaching dreams “on their own terms” is, rather than forcing interpretation of their mysterious symbols
How to work with the material of the unconscious if we’re not able to dream that easily
What to do when we feel like we can’t remember any of our dreams
How to trace images, storylines, and symbols through dreams, to arrive at deeply revelatory, and deeply personal realizations about our psyche
Alyssa is an educator, mentor and writer with a focus on Jungian psychology and archetypal studies. Through her teachings and client work, she guides individuals on the path of self-discovery, inviting them to explore the images, symbols and patterns that shape our lives, and facilitate personal growth through their understanding and integration. I love her work, and if you’re not already familiar, I’m sure you will too!
This conversation was held in honor of Alyssa’s upcoming program, Dreamwork Foundations, which begins this Saturday, February 8th, and runs through March. This is being offered to those who subscribe to her Substack membership, and you can find all the details here!
This isn’t the first time Alyssa and I have discussed dreams (and I’m sure won’t be the last). We got together last year to explore some recurring dreams I had, and talk about the archetype of the labyrinth. You can find that conversation here:
Lastly, you can check out all of Alyssa’s wonderful offerings at her website, here!
Dreamwork Foundations starts this Saturday, February 8th. I’ll be there, and I hope you will be too!
